Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and In Shambles Productions, Incorporated, a Texas C corporation (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By uploading a manuscript, purchasing, or otherwise using Deslop My Book (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service analyzes a manuscript you provide and returns editing suggestions that reduce AI-pattern density — over-used stylistic constructions and repeated phrases characteristic of AI-generated prose. Paid results are delivered as tracked changes and comments in a copy of your document, which you may accept, reject, or edit at your discretion.

Scope. The Service addresses AI-pattern density only. It does not assess or improve prose quality, plot, characters, grammar, factual accuracy, or a work’s publishability or commercial prospects. All suggestions are advisory; you decide what to change.

Not an AI-detection–evasion tool. The Service is not a “humanizer.” It reduces the stylistic patterns that make AI prose read as AI to a human reader; it does not attempt to defeat automated AI-detection systems, and your manuscript may still be identified as AI-generated or AI-assisted by such tools.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.

3. Your content and rights

You retain all rights to the manuscripts you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and analyze Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that our processing of it will not violate any law or any third party’s rights.

4. Third-party processing

As part of providing the Service, documents are analyzed using third-party large-language-model (LLM) platforms. We select providers we consider appropriate for the Service; specific processing arrangements are governed by our agreements with those providers.

5. Payment and refunds

The Service is offered for a one-time fee per manuscript, shown at checkout, charged through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Refunds. Refunds are provided solely in the event we fail to deliver a completed result for a paid job. All other sales are final. The scope limits in Section 1 are part of what you are agreeing to and are not grounds for a refund.

Clean packs are prepaid credits with no expiry date. If we cannot deliver a clean paid for with a pack, that clean is returned to the pack. Unused cleans are not otherwise refundable.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to process content you lack the rights to, and not to use it for any unlawful purpose.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will improve your work’s quality, acceptance, or sales, or that its output will pass any AI-detection system.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APPLICABLE JOB. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above; your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
