Why it reads like AI

Not because the words are wrong — because the same handful of constructions keep showing up. Repeated sentence openings. Three-part lists. Not this, but that cadences. Body-language beats on repeat. Human novelists use all of them — just far, far less often.

How it works

  1. Upload. We take your manuscript and run two assessments: a word-usage pass over the whole book, and a pattern-usage pass on several large samples from across it.
  2. We measure. We measure the phrases you over-use — setting aside your own capitalized names and places, so your world doesn't count against you — and how often AI-style word combinations like “the corner of” repeat past what a human writer in your genre would. We also measure the AI patterns you over-use, each compared against real human novels in your genre. The pattern read is real analysis, not a keyword scan — so your report takes a little while, usually within 20 minutes. Watch it arrive, or wait for our email.
  3. Your report. How many AI patterns your manuscript carries and which ones dominate, how many phrases you over-use, and how much shorter the final manuscript gets once they're cleaned. Real numbers from your own pages.

What this is not

It isn't a ghostwriter and it isn't a copy editor. It doesn't check grammar, continuity, or whether your plot works. It does one thing: finds the structural patterns that make prose read as machine-generated — the repetition you can't feel across 90,000 words, but your readers can.
